Regional HIV and AIDS Resource Centre - Zimbabwe

The SAfAIDS regional HIV and AIDS information resource centre is located in Harare and is well equipped with information on HIV and AIDS. The centre has been in existence for fourteen years and a lot has been achieved and many lessons learned since its establishment. The centre has a bibliographic database with over 11 000 indexed articles spanning research, grey literature, HIV epidemic update reports, books, manuals and conference papers with a focus on the health and development aspects of the HIV/AIDS pandemic. The centre subscribes to a number of electronic discussion fora including AF-AIDS, Gender-AIDS, Nigeria-AIDS. In addition, the resource centre has extensive partnerships with tertiary and international organisations and sources materials in bulk from these producers to further distribute to other organisations in southern Africa.

The regional centre holds bi-monthly Discussion Forums on HIV and AIDS topical issues in Zimbabwe and the region. The centre also compiles and circulates bi- weekly resource centre bulletins and monthly child focussed e-bulletins.
